Expression Pattern :

Pattern  Earliest expression is seen from L1 stage. It is seen in three neurons in the head ganglia. Nuclei of the lateral/ventral ganglia show expression from L2/3 onwards. Further staining of 3 cells, possibly in the tail ganglia, develops in adult worms along with a few nuclei in the ventral cord. Cytoplasmic staining of the neural processes in the ventral nerve cord occurs as well. nuclei of the lateral/ventral ganglia show expression from L2/3 onwards. Further staining of 3 cells, possibly in the tail ganglia, develops in adult worms along with a few nuclei in the ventral cord. Primary Identifier  Expr18
Remark  life_stage summary : post L2 life_stage summary = post L1 or post L2

a large process bundle that runs along the vental mid-line extending from the ventral region of the nerve ring. ventral nerve cord ventral cord WBbt:0005829
neuron with its cell body situated in the tail, posterior to rectum. tail neuron   WBbt:0006759
ganglion in the head. head ganglion   WBbt:0005135
The left and right lateral ganglia lie beside the nerve ring in the head. They each contain about (30) neuron cell bodies and send their neuronal processes into the ring at its posterior margin either laterally or ventrally via the amphid commissures and ventral ganglion, but form no local neuropil separate from the nerve ring. The lateral ganglia are in close contact with the lateral hypodermal cords. lateral ganglion lateral ganglia WBbt:0005105
ganglion lies beside the nerve ring in the head, just anterior of the retrovesicular ganglion. It contains about 20 interneuron and motorneuron cell bodies that all send their neuronal processes into the ring. The cell bodies are divided into two groups by the intrusion of the excretory duct and canal. The cells are bounded by a basal lamina which physically separates them from the lateral ganglion even though they are adjacent to one another. ventral ganglion ventral ganglia WBbt:0005298
